KING'S BASKETBALL TEAMS HOSTING FDU-FLORHAM IN Saturday DOUBLEHEADER
(King's women facing three-time defending Freedom Champion, 14th ranked Devils)WILKES-BARRE — The King's College women's and men's basketball teams will return to the hardwood Saturday with a big home Freedom Conference doubleheader against FDU-Florham in Scandlon Gymnasium. The women's game tips off at 1:00 p.m. with the men to follow at 3:00 p.m.

http://www.sidearmstats.com/kings/mbball/Both the King's and FDU women enter the contest with identical 5-1 overall records while both stand 1-0 in conference play. FDU-Florham, which won the 2014 NCAA Division III national championship, is the three-time defending conference champion. The Devils are currently ranked 14th nationally. King's won its league opener Wednesday with a 85-74 road win over Delaware Valley while the Devils downed Misericordia 62-54.

Jennifer Fabian tops King's with 14.3 points and 8.7 rebounds while junior forward
Kayla Feairheller follows with 12.7 points, 3.7 boards, and 11 three-pointers. Junior point-guard
Kasey Seitz adds 7.7 points, 4.7 assists, and 4.0 assists while senior forward
Tara Zdancewicz contributes 5.4 points and 3.6 rebounds. Sophomore center
Olivia Hoffman chips in with 5.0 points, 8.3 rebids, and three blocked shots each contest.
FDU is paced by all-American senior forward Shalette Brown who averages 16.0 points and 11.5 rebounds while junior center Rachel Groom follows with 13.7 points and 4.8 boards. Junior forward Alyssa McDonough adds 13.0 points with 3.3 rebounds and 12 three-pointers.
The King's men, meanwhile, are 5-3 overall but are 0-1 in conference play after a road loss at Delaware Valley on Wednesday. The Devils, meanwhile, are 2-4 but stand at 1-0 in the Freedom after a 71-70 victory over defending Freedom champion Misericordia on Wednesday.
The Monarchs are paced by junior forward
Dan Rutecki with 12.6 points and 6.9 rebounds while junior guard
John Fazzini follows with 10.9 points with 10 three-pointers. Junior guard
Nate Oliver adds 9.8 points with 15 three-pointers while freshman guard
Jake Barber contributes 9.6 points. Senior center
Tom Heston ships in with 8.5 points and 8.4 rebounds.
The Monarchs have been inconsistent offensively thus far, having shot over 42-percent from the field in its five wins, but have then shot under 34-percent in each of its losses, with two games under 30-percent shooting.
FDU is led by Jayson Hughes with 16.5 points and 17 three-pointers while Donte Ali follows with 15.0 points and 9.0 rebounds. Derek Leohner adds 13.2 points with 15 three-pointers while Steve Herdman chips in with 10.5 points and 11 three-pointers.
