King's Volleyball Picks Up Big 3-1 Freedom Conference Victory Over FDU

KING'S VOLLEYBALL PICKS UP BIGGEST WIN OVER THE YEAR WITH 3-1 FREEDOM TRIUMPH OVER FDU

MADISON, NJ -- The King's College women's volleyball team picked up its biggest win of the season as the Monarchs posted an important 3-1 Freedom Conference victory over host FDU-Florham Wednesday night in Madison, NJ.  

King's dropped the first game 19-25 but rallied to win the next three by scores of 25-21, 25-23, 27-25 to improve to 13-4 overall and 1-2 in Freedom Conference play.  FDU, meanwhile, slipped to 14-4 and 2-1 in league competition. 

Rachel Miller topped King's with 16 kills, 28 digs, and two blocks. Katelyn Shifflett also added 16 kills and three digs.

Jill Korgeski followed with 15 kills, and five digs while Maddie Kumm dished out 56 assists with 15 digs. Julie Kollar had five kills and 19 digs while Brenna Smudde and Kristen Bohnenblusch chipped in with 14 and nine digs respectively.


King's will returns to the court Saturday by hosting the MAC Crossover Quad Meet. King's will play Hood College at noon and Arcadia at 2:00 p.m. while Delaware Valley will play Arcadia at noon and Hood at 2:00 p.m.
