KING'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO DESALES IN CONFERENCE FINALE
WILKES-BARRE — The King's College women's volleyball team dropped its final MAC Freedom Conference match 3-1 to visiting DeSales University Wednesday night in Scandlon Gym.
DeSales won by scores of 25-20, 15-25, 25-10, 25-14 and improved to 20-12 overall and 6-1 in Freedom Conference play. King's dropped to 18-12 and 3-4 and was officially eliminated from the conference playoff race.
Julie Kollar led King's with 14 kills and eight digs while
Rachel Miller followed with eight kills and 17 digs.
Jill Korgeski, who played her first march of the season after missing the entire campaign with an injury, had five kills and six digs.
Maddie Kumm had 22 assists and five digs while
Katelyn Shifflett tallied four kills and three service aces.
Kristen Bohnenblusch chipped in with 12 digs.
King's returns to the court Friday with a 7:00 p.m. Home matchup against Rosemont College, KIng's will then close out its season Saturday at home with an 11:00 a.m. tri-meet with Rutgers-Newark and the College of St. Elizabeth.
