KING'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS PAIR ON OPENIG DAY OF NEUMANN IVITATIONAL
ASTON -- The King's College women's volleyball team lost its first two matches at the Neumann University Invitational Friday night.
King's (13-8) lost its first match to Neumann3-1, by scores of 19-25, 26-24, 22-25, 24-26. The Lady Monarchs then fell to Rowan 3-2 by scores of 25-23, 28-26, 15-25, 23-25, 8-15.
Against Neumann, Maureen Kloap had 11 kills and 25 digs while Rachel Miller added 14 kills and 20 digs. Julie Kollar has 18 kills and 18 digs while Maddie Kumm dished out 47 assists.
Against Rowan, Kollar had 12 kills and 21 digs, while Miller added 12 kills and 29 digs.  Kumm distributed 35 assists while Kristen Bohnenblusch chipped in with 24 digs.
King's resumes play Saturday with a 10:00 a.m. matchup against Penn State Behrend, followed by a 12:00 p.m. contest with Washington (Md.) College.
