KING'S WRESTLERS TO COMPETE IN WASHINGTON & LEE DUALS MONDAY

WILKES-BARRE — The King's College wrestling team will return to the mats on Monday when the Monarchs compete in the Washington & Lee Duals at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va.

The Monarchs last competed November 19 at the WPI Duals in Massachusetts King's had a match with Penn College of Technology scheduled for December 4 but the match was canceled.

King's is scheduled to face host Washington & Lee at 10:30 AM and will then be idle until wrestling Trine University at 3:00 PM and Southern Virginia University at 4:30 PM.

King's match versus Washington & Lee will appear on Live Video, as well as each match slated for Mat 1 (see schedule below) throughout the day at the following link: https://portal.stretchinternet.com/wandl/

The Monarchs have been paced thus far by junior heavyweight Ralph Bernardo who is 10-1 on the year while fellow junior Howard Kilpatrick stands at 8-2 at 165 pounds. Sophomore James Wright is 2-0 at 125 while juniors Zach Smith (165) and Matt Sparks (133) and 3-3 and 2-2 respectively. Freshman Dakota Quick is also 3-3 at 125 pounds while sophomore Eddie Merrill is 1-1 at 184.

After the Monarchs return from Virginia, the team will be idle for semester break before taking the mat again at the Pennsylvania/New York Duals January 7 in Rochester, NY. King's will square off against Oswego State University and host Rochester Institute of Technology.
