KING'S BASEBALL DROPS 18-11 SLUGFEST TO MANHATTANVILLE
PURCHASE, NY -- The host Manhattanville College baseball team rallied from an 11-10 deficit by scoring eight runs over the final two innings too post a 18-11 victory over King's College in a Freedom Conference matchup Tuesday in Purchase, NY. The game was halted in the eighth inning due to darkness.
With the win the Valiants won the season series against King's 2-1, improving to 7-6 on the year. The Monarchs, meanwhile, slipped to 10-5.
Chris Rebar led King's by going 4-for-5 with two home runs, a double, three RBI, and scored four runs. Rebar now has six round-trippers on the year. Brad Wilkins was 3-for-4 with a RBI while Sean Padden finished 2-for-5 with a home run, double, two runs, and two RBI. Kyle Lupas was 2-for-3 with two runs and a RBI while Christian Pack went 2-for-4 with a RBI double. Nick Trivigino chipped in with a 2-for-3 effort.
King's had 15 hits in the game, including six extra-base hits. Manhattanville had 22 base hits, including six extra base hits.
The Monarchs return to Freedom Conference action Thursday with a 3:30 p.m. home game against DeSales Unversity in the Betzler Complex.
