KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO SUSQUEHANNA, 1-0
WILKES-BARRE -- Emily Sullivan scored the lone goal of the game with just 1:22 remaining as the visiting Susquehanna University women's soccer team posted a 1-0 win over host King's College Wednesday at McCarthy Stadium.
With the win King's slipped to 2-2 while the River Hawks improved to 4-1.
With game seemingly headed for overtime Mairead Ruane found Sullivan at the top of the box and the Susquehanna sophomore sidestepped a King's defended and placed a shot inside the right post for what proved to be the game winner.
King's starting goal Jess Shenfield had three saves in the first half while Ally McMahon made one stop playing the second stanza.
King's plays again Saturday night with a 7:30 p.m. home matchup against Albright College.
