KING'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO MANHATTANVILLE IN FREEDOM CONFERENCE OPENER
PURCHASE, NY -- The King's College women's volleyball team won the first set in its Freedom Conference opener at Manhattanville College Wednesday night, but the Lady Monarchs dropped the next three to fall 3-1 to the Valiants.
The Lady Monarchs lost by scores of 24-26, 25-21, 25-10, 25-20. With the loss King's slipped to 5-2 overall while Manhattanville improved to 4-1.
Rachel Miller had six kills and 17 digs while Nicole McQuillan added six kills and two blocks. Maureen Kloap contributed 25 digs  while Julie Kollar dished out 13 assists with five kills and 14 digs. Jessica Carr posted six kills with eight digs; Maddie Kumm had 12 assists and 11 digs; while Alexis Swagler chipped in with five kills and two blocks.Â
King's returns home Saturday with an 11:00 a.m. tri-meet with SUNY-Purchase and City College of New York in Scandlon Gymnasium.
