KING'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS 3-1 DECISION TO FDU-FLORHAM

WILKES-BARRE — The visiting FDU-Florham women's volleyball team broke open a 1-1 tie after two sets by winning the final two sets to post a 3-1 victory over host King's College Tuesday night in Scandlon Gymnasium.

FDU won by scores of 25-13, 21-25, 25-16, 25-21 to improve to 7-5 overall and 1-1 in the Freedom Conference. King's slipped to 7-3 overall and 0-2 in league play.

King's was paced by Rachel Miller with 13 kills and 15 digs. Katelyn Shifflett followed with eight kills and two blocks. Maureen Kloap added three kills and 15 digs while Julie Kollar contributed 21 assists and seven digs. Kristen Bohnenblusch posted 17 digs while Maddie Kumm had nine assists and three digs. Nicole McQuillan chipped in with three kills and three blocks.

King's will host Penn State Wilkes-Barre Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. in Scandlon Gym.
