KING'S FIELD HOCKEY BLANKSÂ MORAVIAN, 3-0
BETHLEHEM -- Caitlin Wood scored a pair of goals as the King's College field hockey team went on the road and registered a 3-0 victory over Moravian College Wednesday in Bethlehem.
With the win King's improved to 5-3 while Moravian slipped to 0-6.
King's opened the scoring 9:28 into the match when Selina Malacari struck net unassisted. Â The Monarchs took a 2-0 lead at the 20:00 mark when Caitlin Wood scored off an assist from Anna Morgan.
The score grew to 3-0 in the second half when Wood scored again, this time unassisted, at 44:18.
King's outshot Moravian 35-4 while the Greyhounds owned a 10-8 advantage in penalty corners.Monarch goalie Paige Tedik made two saves in net.
King's returns home Friday night at 7:00 p.m.against Eastern University in the Freedom Conference opener for both teams.
