KING'S BASKETBALL TEAMS RETURN TO FREEDOM CONFERENCE ACTION TONIGHT VS. FDU-FLORHAM
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's and men's basketball teams will return to Freedom Conference play tonight when both teams play host to FDU-Florham in Scandlon Gymnasium.
The women's game will tip off at 6:00 PM while the men's contest follows at 8:00 PM. Fans unable to attend can follow the games online at the links below:

The King's women stand at 2-10 overall and 0-2 in the league after a 57-46 non-conference win over Ramapo Monday night. The Lady Monarchs dropped a 53-46 verdict to Eastern in their last conference game on Saturday. FDU-Florham, meanwhile, is 11-2 and 2-0 after a 74-55 win over Misericordia on Saturday.
King's has been led thus far by freshman power-forward Rebecca Prociak who averages 13.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per-game. Sophomore forward Alexis Steeber follows with 9.6 points and 5.8 rebounds while senior small forward Kayla Feairheller tallies 9.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and a team-high 13 three-pointers and cracked the 1,000-point plateau on Monday. Junior center Olivia Hoffman adds 8.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 47 blocked shots and broke King's all-time career blocked shots record with her 208th rejection against Ramapo. Senior guard
Shae Grim chips in with 4.9 points and 3.3 rebounds. The Lady Monarchs average 52.9 points per-game while allowing 63.3 each contest.
FDU is paced by freshman guard Kendra Williams with 18.8 points and 3.2 rebounds with 30 three-pointers. Fellow rookie guard Taiah
Thornton follows with 13.9 points and 3.6 rebounds with 12 treys while senior forward Alyssa McDonough adds 13.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 13 three-pointers. Senior center Rachel Groom chips in with 13.5 points and 9.1 boards. The Devils average 72.9 points while allowing 62.1.
King's men will look to snap a six-game losing streak as the Monarchs enter the matchup with a 4-8 record and are 0-2 in Freedom play after a 75-64 loss to Eastern on Saturday. FDU is 4-9 overall and 1-1 in league competition after a 87-76 loss to the College of New Jersey on Monday after posting 71-70 Freedom Conference upset of Misericordia
on Saturday.
King's has been paced by senior power forward Dan Rutecki
who leads the team with 15.3 points and 7.8 rebounds while standing second on the squad with 2.2 assists. Junior guard Connor Callejas
follows with 13.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and a team-high 30 three-pointers while senior guard John Fazzini
of Crestwood adds 7.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 17 three-pointers. Sophomore guard Jake Barber has tallied 6.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 13 three pointers while junior forward Chris Fazzini
contributes 7.7 points and 3.2 rebounds. The Monarchs average 70.9 points while yielding 73.6 each game.
FDU is led by senior forward Donte
Ali with 11.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists while sophomore guard Anthony Mitchell follows with 10.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 18 three-pointers. Sophomore guard Darren Davy adds 10.0 points and 6.8 rebounds. The Devils average 65.7 points while allowing 75.8.
After concluding their games with FDU, both King's teams with then will then travel to Purchase, NY for a conference doubleheader at Manhattanville
College.
