KING'S WRESTLERS FALL TO LYCOMING, 35-9

WILLIAMSPORT -- The King's College wrestling team on the first two matches against host Lycoming College, but the Warriors responded by taking the last eight contests toi post a 35-9 victory Sunday in Williamsport.

With the win Lycoming improved to  16-3 while King's slipped to 7-13.

King's took a 6-0 lead after Dakota Quick earned a pin at 125-pounds. The Monarchs extended the lead to 9-0 following a 12-6 decision from James Wright at 133-pounds.  After the Warriors won a decision at 141, Lycoming followed with two straight technical falls and a forfeit to go ahead 13-9. King's Zach Smith dropped a tough 7-5 decision at 174 before Lycoming ended the match with a decision, major decision, and pin to set the final score. 

The Monarchs wrestled the match without their top two grapplers in Howard Kilpatrick (165) and Ralph Bernardo (285).

King's returns to the mat Friday with a 7:00 PM home matchup with Elizabethtown College in Scandlon Gymnasium.
