KING'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO DEFENDING MAC FREEDOM CHAMPION EASTERN
WILKES-BARRE — The King's College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to defensing MCA Freedom Conference champion Eastern University Tuesday night in Scandlon Gymnasium.
The Eagles won by scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-18. With the win, Eastern improved to 16-9 overall and 5-1 in MAC Freedom play while KIng's slipped to 17-9 and 4-2 in league competition.
Katelyn Shifflett led King's with 10 kills, eight dogs, and two total blocks, including the 200th block of her career.
Rachel Miller followed with nine kills and eight digs while
Maddie Kumm distributed 28 assists with two kills.
Jill Korgeski added seven kills and eight digs while
Julie Kollar posted six digs and three kills.
Hannah Gallagher had two kills and five digs.
Michelle Paulsen led Eastern with 10 kills and there aces while Ally Spillane and Morgan Shemonski had eight kills apiece. Eastern posted 10 total blocks and served up 10 aces in the match.
King's will travel to face Keystone College Tuesday at 7:00 PM in LaPlume.
