KING'S FIELD HOCKEY BLANKS MORAVIAN

WILKES-BARRE -- Kelsey Gabriele scored  pair of goals to power the King's College field hockey team to  3-0 victory over visiting Moravian College Monday night at McCarthy Stadium.

With the win King's improved to 6-5 on the year while Moravian slipped to 2-9.

King's took a 1-0 lead when Kelsey Gabriele struck net when her shot caromed into the goal off a Moravian player 9:18 into the game.

The score remained the same until the second half when Gabriele scored off a rebound following a save at the 42:05 mark.

King's pushed across the final goal of the game when Anastasia Araviakis lifted a saved shot over Greyhound keeper Ashley Kunesman and into the net at 63:22 to set the final score.

King's outshot Moravian 13-0 and held a 7-2 advantage in penalty corners. 

King's returns to the field Wednesday with a 7:30 PM matchup at Alvernia University.
