KING'S FIELD HOCKEY FALLS TO FDU 1-0 IN DOUBLE OT ON GOAL WITH 0:59 REMAINING

MADISON, NJ -- Kelly O'Neill scored the lone goal of the game with 0:59 left in the second overtime period as the host FDU-Florham field hockey team posted a 1-0 victory over King's College Friday night in Madison, NJ.

With the win FDU improved to 12-5 overall and 5-1 in MAC Freedom Conference play while King's slipped to 8-9 and 3-3.

In a rematch of the 2016 MAC Freedom Tournament title game, the teams played 99 minutes of scoreless field hockey until Gabby Allen found O'Neill with a crossing pass in front of the King's net for the game-deciding goal.

The Monarchs are currently locked in a three-way battle with Wilkes and DeSales for the third and fourth seeds in the upcoming Freedom Conference Tournament.

King's will close out the regular-season Thursday night with a 6:00 PM matchup at DeSales University in Center Valley.
