KING'S MEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS MANHANNVILLE 1-0 ON DINNAN GAME-WINNER IN DOUBLE-OT
WILKES-BARRE- Alastair Dinnan scored the game-winning goal just 0:13 into the second overtime period s the King's College men's soccer team registered a 1-0 victory over visiting Manhattanville College Friday night at McCarthy Stadium.
With the win King's improved to 8-3-1 overall and 2-0 in MAC Freedom Conference play while Manhattanville slipped to 6-6 and 1-1 in league games.

After 100 scoreless minutes, the Monarchs ended the game quickly in the second extra frame when Dinnan received a pass on the left wing and took a shot toward goal which was blocked by a Manhattanville defender. The ball caromed right back to Dinnan who struck a one-timer past Valiant keeper Tim Carsting into the middle of the net. It was the second game-winning goal of the season for Dinnan
It was a solid performance for the Monarchs who outshot Manhattanville 18-7 and held a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Monarch goalie Owen Geedey made two saves and registered the 20th shutout of his three-year career.
King's returns to the field Wednesday with a 7:00 PM matchup at crosstown rival Wilkes University.
