KING'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO TOP-SEEDED DESALES 3-1 IN MAC FREEDOM SEMI-FINALS
CENTER VALLEY -- The King's College women's volleyball team saw its season come to an end as the fourth-seeded Lady Monarchs dropped a 3-1 decision to top-seeded DeSales University in the semi-finals of the MAC Freedom Conference Tournament Wednesday night in Center Valley.
DeSales improved to 22-9 on the year after winning by scores of 25-21, 24-26, 25-25, 25-16. King's, meanwhile, ended its season with a fine 20-11 record.
Rachel Miller led King's with 14 kills, 12 digs, and two blocks while Katelyn Shifflett added 10 kills and 18 digs. Jill Korgeski also tallied 10 kills with 12 digs and three blocks while Maddie Kumm dished out 40 assists with seven digs and three.  Julie Kollar posted four kills and 11 digs while Hannah Gallagher chipped in with three kills.
It marked the first time King's qualified for the Freedom Conference Tournament since 2008.
