KING'S MEN'S HOCKEY FALLS TO BRYN ATHYN
PITTSTON -- Visiting Bryn Athyn College broke open a one-goal game with two consecutive goals as the visiting Lions posted a 4-2 victory over host King's College in a non-conference men's hockey matchup at Revolution Ice in Pittston.
With the win Bryn Athyn improved to 3-2 on the year while King's slipped to 0-5 in its inaugural season.
After a scoreless first period he Lions struck first in the second when Julion Lever struck net 2:14 into the period. The score grew to 2-0 when Alex Doyle scored on a power play at 19:18.
King's cut the gap to 2-1 in the third period when Anthony Frati struck net off a Tommy Green assist 1:10 into the final frame. But The Lions countered with goals at 5:02 by Alec Grollman and another by Zach Pamayaon just 1:29 later to up the score to 4-1.
King's added the final goal as Frati notched his second of the game off an assist bu Nicholas Palumbo with 5:40 left in the contest.
Bryn Athyn outshot King's 36-30. Monarch goalie Link Ferch made 32 saves.
King's returns to the ice Saturday with a 7:00 PM game at Manhattanville College.
