KING'S WRESTLERS FALL AT SIXTH RANKED MESSIAH, 35-12
GRANTHAM, PA — Host Messiah College, the sixth ranked team in NCAA Division III, won six of the 10 matches to post a 35-12 victory over King's College on Saturday afternoon at Brubaker Auditorium in Grantham.
The Falcons improve to 4-2 in dual matches this year while the Monarchs fall to 0-8.
King's got off to a good start when
Dakota Quick recorded a fall in 3:40 at 125-pounds and
Jake Taylor picked up a 6-4 decision at 141-pounds to improve to 11-2 on the season. However the Falcons picked up victories in the next six bouts, including four consecutive pins, a forfeit, and a tech fall to score 35 points. The Monarchs picked up their final points of the day when
Ralph Bernardo came away with a 6-5 decision at 285-pounds.
The Monarchs will break for finals and then return to the mat on December 18th when they will travel down to Virginia to compete in the Washington and Lee Duals.
