KING'S BASKETBALL TEAMS HOSTING DESALES SATURDAY ON SENIOR DAY
WILKES-BARRE — The King's College basketball teams will return to the court Tuesday night when both squads travel to face cross-town rival Wilkes University at the Marts Center. The women's game tips off at 6:00 PM with the men to follow at 8:00 PM.

The King's women stand at 4-18 overall and 2-10 in the Freedom Conference league after a 81-54 loss at DeSales University on Saturday. The Lady Colonels are 5-18 overall and are 0-12 in the league after a 69-39 loss to Misericordia on Saturday. King's won the first meeting between the teams 71-61 in Scandlon Gymnasium on January 21. King's has won 35 of the last 38 meetings between the teams. The Lady Monarchs have won the last five contests between the teams.
King's has been led by freshman power-forward
Rebecca Prociak who averages 11.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per-game. Sophomore forward
Alexis Steeber has tallied 8.7 points and 4.9 rebounds while junior center
Olivia Hoffman adds 8.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 89 blocked shots. Senior small forward
Kayla Feairheller follows with 8.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 48 assists and 23 three-pointers.
Senior guard
Shae Grim posts 5.2 points and 3.0 rebounds while sophomore guard-forward
Erin Schmidt nets 4.1 points with 25 three-pointers. Senior point-guard
Kasey Seitz chips in with 2.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 27 assists. The Lady Monarchs average 53.1 points per-game while allowing 64.7 each contest.
Wilkes is paced by Gianna Roberts with 7.5 points and 4.1 rebounds while Ashley Caster follows with 7.4 points and 5.4 boards. Haley Mesaros has posted 7.0 points and 3.3 rebounds while Missy Oertner chips in with 6.3 points and 4.8 rebounds. Wilkes averages 56.9 points while yielding 70.4.
The King's men stand at 5-18 overall and 1-11 in Freedom Conference play after a 77-65 home loss to DeSales on Saturday. Eight of the Monarchs last 10 losses have come by six points or less. Wilkes is 11-12 overall and 5-7 in league play following a 85-81 loss to Misericordia on Saturday. The Colonels won the first meeting between the teams 64-63 in Scandlon Gymnasium on January 21. King's coach J.P. Andrejko has posted a 18-13 career record against Wilkes since taking over the Monarch program in 2001-02, but is 1-4 against third-year Wilkes' mentor Izzy Metz.
King's has been paced by senior power forward
Dan Rutecki who leads the team with 14.1 points and 8.1 rebounds while standing first on the team with 56 assists and 26 steals. Junior guard
Connor Callejas follows with 13.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 45 assists, and a team-high 55 three-pointers. Sophomore guard
Jake Barber has tallied 7.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 29 three-pointers.

Tyler Millan has tallied 6.3 points with 28 three-pointers while senior guard
John Fazzini adds 6.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, 39 assists, and 25 three-pointers. Junior forward
Chris Fazzini contributes 5.9 points and 4.0 rebounds while rookie center
Andrew Hudak chips in with 5.0 points and 4.3 boards. The Monarchs average 68.4 points while allowing 71.4 per-game.
Wilkes is led by Marcus Robinson who averages 15.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and has made 69 three-pointers while Connor Evans follows with 12.8 points, 3.7 assists and has 40 treys. Tommy Bowen averages 8.5 points and 4.3 rebounds while Mark Mullins adds 7.2 points and 4.7 rebounds. Zach Brunner chips in with 6.7 points and 4.1 rebounds.
After concluding their games with Wilkes, both King's teams will wrap up their seasons Saturday in Madison, NJ against FDU-Florham. The women tip off at 1:00 PM with the men to follow at 3:00 PM.
