KING'S MEN'S TENNIS WIN FREEDOM CONFERENCE OPENER AGAINST DESALES, 5-4
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's tennis team won two of three doubles contests, then split the six singles bouts to open up MAC Freedom Conference competition with a 5-4 victory over DeSales University Sunday at Kirby Park.
With the win King's improved to 3-4 while DeSales fell to 2-7.
Nathan Carl, Luke Whitenight, and 2016 MAC singles champion Tyler Millan were all winners in singles and doubles. Carl won a 6-3, 6-1 decision; Whitenight was a 6-1, 6-0 victor, while Millan posted a 6-1, 6-1 triumph to improve to 13-1 on the season. Josh Mesaris teamed with Millan to pick up a victory in doubles.Â
King's will host Lebanon Valley College Sunday at 1:00 PM at Kirby Park.
