SCRANTON FIELD HOCKEY REMAINS UNBEATEN WITH 4-0 WIN OVER KING'S
WILKES-BARRE -- Megan Gallagher scored twice to led the unbeaten University of Scranton field hockey team to a 4-0 victory over host King's College Thursday night at McCarthy Stadium.
With the win, Scranton improved to 5-0 while King's slipped to 0-5. Megan Gallagher also scored for the Lady Royals while Ryan Jones, Kathryn McVeagh, and Grace McClathy all contributed with assists.
Scranton outshot King's 10-3 while holding an 11-2 advantage in penalty corners. Kayla Nailor made four saves in goal for the Lady Monarchs.
King's returns to the field Saturday with a 1:00 PM matchup at Immaculate University.
