KING'S VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS ONEONTA 3-0

ONEONTA, N.Y. --- The King's College women's volleyball team swept SUNY Oneonta 3-0 on Friday night in the team's first match of the Hartwick Tournament at Lambros Arena in Oneonta, N.Y.

The Lady Monarchs won by scores of 25-18, 25-22, 25-22 and improved to 9-1 overall. The Red Dragons fell to 4-6. The win over the Red Dragons was King's first since a 3-0 victory in 2001. SUNY Oneonta won the previous five meetings between the programs with the latest previous match occurring in 2009.

Rachel Miller led the Lady Monarchs with 13 kills and 15 digs while Katelyn Shifflett recorded eight kills. Jill Korgeski had seven kills and 13 digs while Maddie Kumm recorded 30 assists and Julie Kollar led the team with 25 digs.

King's will be back in action at the tournament on Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. matchup with Nazareth College and a 3:00 p.m. match with SUNY Plattsburgh.
