LADY MONARCH SOCCER FALLS AT ALBRIGHT IN DEFENSIVE BATTLE, 1-0
READING, PA --- The Albright College women's soccer team scored the lone goal of the game early in the second half in a defensive battle to defeat King's College 1-0 on Saturday at Shirk Stadium in Reading.
Albright improves to 3-3 with the victory while the Monarchs fall to 3-2.
After a scoreless first half that consisted of seven total shots Albright's Crissy Terraces found herself on a breakaway in the 50th minute and was able to score the game's only goal.
The Monarchs pushed to score an equalizer and had a good look in the 63rd minute but a shot from
Marissa Dare was saved by the Lion keeper. In the 80th minute King's was able to receive a corner kick but were unable to get a shot off on the set play.
Albright held a 9-5 advantage in shots and a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Jess Schenfeld made four saves in goal for the Monarchs.

Crissy Terraces score one goal on three shots for Albright. Alexis Tunney got the win in goal while needing to make just one save.
The Lady Monarchs will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Williamsport to face Lycoming College at 4:00 p.m.
