KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER FORGES 1-1 TIE WITH LEBANON VALLEY
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College and Lebanon Valley College battled for 110 minutes of even play with the end results a 1-1 double-overtime tie Saturday night at McCarthy Stadium.
With the draw King's stands 3-2-2 while Lebanon Valley, ranked ninth regionally, is now 3-1-3.
Danielle Putnam gave King's a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal 11:56 into the game.
Lebanon Valley tied the score at 1-1 when Emma Longnecker scored at the 31:06 mark.
Lebanon Valley held a 7-6 advantage in overall shots while the Lady Monarchs led 3-2 in shots on goal. The Flying Dutchwomen owned a 6-2 lead in corner kicks.
King's goalie Jess Schenfeld made one save in the game.
King's will next host Moravian College Wednesday at 5:00 PM at McCrthy Stadium.
