King's Volleyball Comes Up Short on Final Day of York Tourney

KING'S VOLLEYBALL COMES UP SHORT IN FINAL TWO GAMES AT YORK TOURNEY

YORK -- The King's College women's volleyball team dropped both matches on the final day of the York College Invitational Tournament Saturday at York College.

King's lost 3-1 to St. Vincent by scores of 25-22, 11-25, 23-25, 13-25. The Lady Monarchs then fell to LaRoche 3-1 by 22-25, 25-17, 17-25, 21-25.  With the losses King's fell to 9-8 on the season.

King's was led by Katelyn Shifflett with a combined 20 kills, 35 digs, and three service aces for the day. Rachel Miller posted 29 kills and 19 digs while Jill Korgeski tallied 15 kills and 28 digs. Maddie Kumm dished out 55 assists while Hannah Gallagher chipped in with four kills and 25 digs.

King's returns to the court Wednesday with a 7:00 Freedom Conference matchup at Delaware Valley University.
