KING'S AND ALVERNIA MEN'S SOCCER PLAY TO 0-0 DOUBLE-OVERTIME DRAW

WILKES-BARRE -- After 110 minutes of play, the King's College and Alvernia University men's soccer teams played to a 0-0 double-overtime tie Wednesday night at McCarthy Stadium. 

With the tie King's stands at 5-3-1 while Alvernia is 5-4-1.

The game was dominated by defense as both teams mustered little offensively. King's had the best scoring chances of the day but were unable to convert . August Axtman hit the crossbar on a header with 4:30 left in regulation before Aidan DeCamillo hit the left post with 3:04 on the clock.

Owen Geedey made seven saves for King's.

King's returns home Saturday night with a 7:00 PM matchup against local rival Misericordia University at McCarthy Stadium.
