KING'S WRESTLERS FALL TO SUNY ONEONTA
WILKES-BARRE, PA – The visiting SUNY Oneonta wrestling team received four forfeits and won five of the six matches to pick up a 49-3 victory over host King's College on Thursday night in McGrane Gymnasium.
With the win SUNY Oneonta improved to 7-2 while King's slipped to 1-17
The Monarchs forfeited the first four weight classes to give the Red Dragons a 24-0 lead. Oneonta picked up three pins and one major decision to increase the advantage to 46-0. The Dragons then picked up their final three points of the night with a 10-3 decision at 197.
King's picked up their three points at 285 when
Ralph Bernardo picked up stalling warning points in the final minute to defeat Adam Groesbeck 4-3.
Kyle Osterhoudt was also a winner for King's when he picked up an 11-2 major decision in an exhibition match.
The Monarchs will be back in action on Saturday when they host Lycoming College at 2:00 p.m. in McGrane Gymnasium.
