KING'S WRESTLERS FALL TO LYCOMING
WILKES-BARRE -- The visiting Lycoming College wrestling team won 9-of-10 weight classes en route to a 50-4 victory over King's College Saturday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
With the win Lycoming improved too 10-5 on the year while King's fell to 1-18.
After Lycoming picked up two forfeits at 125 and 133 to take a 12-0 lead, King's freshman Jake Taylor continued to shine, posting a 17-5 major decision at 141-pounds to improve to 20-6 on the year. After King's forfeited for the third time in the match at 149-pounds, Lycoming picked up four pins and a technical fall in the final six matches to seal the victory.
King's junior Nick Price dropped a hard-fought 7-5 decision in the closest match of the day.
King's returns to the mat Friday with a 7:00 PM dual meet at Elizabethtown College.
