KING'S WRESTLERS FALL TO TCNJ
WILKES-BARRE – The visiting College of New Jersey wrestling team won the first eight matches, en route to a 45-6 victory over host King's College Friday afternoon in Scandlon Gymnasium.
With the win TCNJ improved to 4-2 while King's slipped to 0-13
The Lions picked up two forfeits and four pins to build a 42-0 lead. The Monarchs got on the scoreboard when
Eddie Merrill posted a pin in 6:32 for the lone Monarch victory. KIng's dropped two close matches when
Dakota Quick fell 9-8 at 133 and
Jake Daniel came up short in a 3-1 decision. At 141, King's
Jake Taylor held a 2-0 lead before losing by fall in 2:46.
King's returns to action Saturday when the Monarchs host the annual Pennsylvania vs. New York Duals.
King's will host Oswego State University at 1:00 PM on one mat while Lycoming College meets Rochester Institute of Technology on the other. In the second round King's faces RIT while Lycoming squares off with Oswego State.
