10/13/2018 11:44:00 PM

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (October 13, 2018) – It was an eventful first day of the Middle Atlantic Conference Men's Individual Championship as much of the morning was delayed by storms. As multiple Monarchs are headed to the semi-finals, one duet made it to the finals before dropping to last years champs.

Due to multiple venues being utilized and weather delays, the singles brackets will be finished tomorrow for the tournament's second day.

Three Monarchs gear up to play semi-finals tomorrow. In the No. 1 flight Tyler Millan who took down Alvernia's Michael Brophy 6-0, 6-1 will now face Juan Huertas of Manhattanville for a spot in the finals. Jason Homschek (6-0, 6-0) took down Misericoria's Matt McCaffrey in a two-set sweep and will now play Larry Johnson of Stevenson for the sixth flight finals. In No. 7 singles, freshman Nick Holland (6-0, 6-0) breezed by Misericordia's Adam Simmonette to his next opponent Alexander Post from Arcadia.
