WILKES-BARRE, PA (October 25, 2018) – King's College women's volleyball will close out the season with a match against Keystone College who currently holds a record of 10-15 and 6-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, winning their last game against Centenary University. Keystone clinched a playoff spot for the conference title while King's looks to end the year on a winning note. Friday will also serve to celebrate our senior class Rachel Miller, Olivia Musto and Julie Kolar.

Last Time Out: The Monarchs fell in three sets in their last conference game to DeSales University. Freshmen Taylor Mueller recorded 15 digs and Grace Frati with 11 of her own while senior Rachel Miller lifted eight. Miller was also able to sneak in three blocks at the net.  Miller and Mueller both tallied an ace in an effort to tie up the game while Wiatt Hoffmann tallied 26 assists. Miller slammed 12 kills, Becca Goldberg six and Olivia Musto five. 
 
The Book on the Monarchs (20-, 3-4 MAC Freedom):

• King's battled the Giants on their home court last season winning 3-0.
• The team is fifth overall in the conference after completing conference play 3-4.
• The Monarchs are third in the MAC Freedom for digs with 16.45 per set and fourth in hitting percentage (.180).
• Miller is still second in the league and first on the team in kills with 399 she is 26 away from becoming third on the programs all-time list.
• Hoffmann now has 898 assists keeping her at the top of the team.
• Mueller has 54 aces in her freshman season and 498 digs.
• Danielle Kitchner pushes to the top of the Monarchs defense accumulating 34 blocks thus far.

 
The Book on the Giants (10-15, 6-1 CSAC):

• Keystone sits at second in overall conference standings.
• Last season, the Giants made it to the CSAC Championship finals where they lost in three sets to Neumann University.
• Keystone is third in the league for digs per set (16.08), kills (815) and assists per set (9.10).
• Amanda Hardy has 575 total assists good enough for second in the CSAC.
• Pamela Heitman tops the conference in digs averaging 5.76 per set and recording 472 in total while also leading the Giants in aces (33).
• Kristen Larkin spearheads the teams attack game with 180 terminations this season.
• The team has tallied 58 more kills than their opponents but have committed 74 more errors.
• It has typically taken the Giants four sets to win a match, only three of their wins have been achieved in three sets.
