KING'S WRESTLERS FALL TO WILKES

WILKES-BARRE -- The Wilkes University wrestling team won the first nine matches to open a 44-0 lead before settling on a 44-6 victory over visiting King's College Sunday in the Marts Center.

Wilkes picked up forfeits at 125, 133, and 149 pounds while gaining two pins, a technical fall, and two decisions. King's lone win came in the last match at heavyweight when Monarch standout Ralph Bernardo posted a pin in 4:40 to improve his season ledger to 22-8.

King's returns to action Friday with a 7:00 PM home matchup against Keystone College in Scandlon Gymnasium.
