KING'S WRESTLERS FALL TO 18th RANKEDÂ CENTENARY
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ -- The nationally-ranked Centenary University wrestling team won the first nine matches before settling for a 49-3 victory over King's College Tuesday night in Hackettstown, NJ.
With the win, Centenary, ranked 18th by the National Wrestling Coaches Association, improved to 8-2 on the year while King's slipped to 1-20.
The Cyclones picked up three forfeits on the night, including 125, 133, and 149 pounds., as well as four pins and a major decision to race out to a 49-0 lead. King's heavyweight Ralph Bernardo picked up the lone win for the Monarchs with a 3-1 decision, improving his season record to 21-8.Â
King's returns to the mat Sunday when the Monarchs travel to face cross-town rival Wilkes in a 12:00 noon matchup in the Marts Center.
