King's Men's Tennis Clinches MAC Freedom Tournament Berth with 9-0 Victory over Delaware Valley

KING'S MEN'S TENNIS CLINCHES MAC FREEDOM TOURNEY BERTH WITH 9-0 WIN OVER DELAWARE VALLEY 

WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's tennis team clinched a berth in the upcoming MAC Freedom Conference Tournament as the Monarch posted a 9-0 victory over visiting Delaware Valley University Saturday at Kirby Park.

With the win King's improved to 10-5 on the year and 4-0 in league matches. Delaware Valley, meanwhile, slipped to 3-14 and 0-6.

Nathan Carl, Tyler Millan, Terry Briggs and Jason Homschek were all winners in singles and doubles. Millan and Briggs both posted 6-0, 6-0 decisions while Homschek was a 6-1, 6-0 victor.  In doubles, Carl and Millan teamed for an 8-0 triumph while Tuck and Ryan Kopishke were 8-5 winners.  The Monarchs also received forfeits at number-six singles and number-three doubles.

King's will host Penn State Abington Sunday at 12:00 PM at Kirby Park.
