KING'S MEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO WILKES IN BATTLE FOR FIRST-PLACE IN MAC FREEDOM

WILKES-BARRE -- Defending MAC Freedom Conference champion Wilkes University men's tennis team assumed sole possession of first-place in the MAC Freedom Conference as the Colonels posted a 8-1 victory over cross-town rival King's College Tuesday at Kirby Park.

With the win Wilkes improved to 16-5 and 5-0 in MAC Freedom competition. King's, meanwhile, slipped to 11-6 overall and 4-1 in league matches while seeing its seven-match winning streak come to an end. 

King's lone win came in the number-one doubles flight where Nathan Carl and Tyler Millan upended a pair of MAC singles champions in Courtney Murphy and Jon White. Murphy won the 2017 MAC number-one singles flight while White captured the third singles flight title.

King's will host Clarks Summit University Wednesday at 4:00 PM at Kirby Park
