KING'S MEN'S TENNIS DOWNS DESALES, CLINCHES SECOND-SEED IN MAC FREEDOM TOURNAMENT

CENTER VALLEY -- The King's College men's tennis team clinched the second seed in the upcoming MAC Freedom Conference Tournament as the Monarchs posted a 6-3 victory over host DeSales University Saturday in Center Valley.

With the win King's improved to 12-6 overall and 5-1 in conference matches while DeSales slipped to 9-5 and 3-3.

Tyler Millan, Austin Mackey, and Terry Briggs were each winners in singles and doubles for the Monarchs.  Millan and Briggs both won by scores of 6-0, 6-1 while Mackey tallied a 6-2, 6-3 triumph.  King's swept all three doubles matches with Millan teaming with Nathan Carl for a 8-5 triumph in the number-one flight. Mack and Jason Homschek followed with an 8-5 decision of their own while Briggs and Cameron Tuck were 8-2 victors in the third flight.

King's will host their final regular-season match of the season Sunday with a 12:00 noon matchup with Moravian College at Kirby Park.
