KING'S MEN'S TENNIS POSTS 8-1 WIN OVER MORAVIAN
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's tennis team prepped for this week's MAC Freedom Conference Tournament with a 8-1 victory over visiting Moravian College in a non-conference matchup Sunday at Kirby Park.
With the win King's improved to 13-6 while the Greyhounds slipped to 3-11.
King's started the match sweeping all three doubles contests before claiming five of the six singles matches. Tyler Millan improved to 20-4 with a straight set singles victory in the number-two flight. Terry Briggs earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at number-three singles while Austin Mackey and Cameron Tuck dropped just two games in each of their matches. Mackey improved to 18-6 with his singles victory.
Millan and Nathan Carl were 8-1 winners in the number-one doubles flight while Mackey and Homschek posted a 8-6 triumph in the second flight. Briggs and Tuck were 8-3 victors in the third flight.Â
Second-seeded King's will host third-seeded FDU-Florhan in the Freedom Conference semi-finals Wednesday at Kirby Park.
