WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 10, 2018) – The King's College women's volleyball team will conclude its four-match home stand on Wednesday evening, hosting FDU-Florham in a big MAC Freedom Conference opening match in McGrane Gymnasium. In a battle of two conference playoff teams from 2017, the Monarchs (6-0) are looking to stay unbeaten, and a victory tonight would give them a 7-0 overall start for the second time in the last four seasons.

- King's is seeking it's second consecutive MAC Freedom Conference playoff berth and were tabbed third in the MAC Freedom Conference preseason coaches' poll in August.
- King's is looking for its first victory against FDU-Florham since 2015.
- King's has made life hard for opponents, as they have the lowest opponent hitting percentage (.029), and the fewest opponent kills per set (8.24) in the MAC Freedom.

- Miller is also second in the MAC Freedom with 3.81 kills per set, and seventh with a .290 hitting percentage.
- Freshman Danielle Kitchner is ninth in the conference with a .276 hitting percentage.
- Newcomer Taylor Mueller is tied for second in the MAC Freedom with 16 service aces, and second with 5.40 digs per set.
- Sarah Hayward leads the team with six blocks and four solo blocks, and is fifth in the conference with 0.55 blocks per set.

- FDU-Florham is trying to make the MAC Freedom playoffs for the fourth straight season and were selected fourth in the MAC Freedom Conference preseason coaches' poll last month.
- FDU-Florham leads the conference with 519 total digs.
- Head coach James Madsen has a .644 career winning percentage at FDU-Florham, the highest in program history.
- The team went 27-9 in 2017; it was their best record since 2010 where the team went 33-8.
- Senior Katie Quinlan is sixth in the MAC Freedom with a .291 hitting percentage.
- Senior Lauren Harris has 1,116 career kills, and is 27 away from fifth place on the program's all-time list in that category.
- Harris was also on the First Team All-MAC Freedom in 2017.
- First-year setter Kacie Ros has 249 assists on the season, good for fourth in the conference.
- FDU-Florham defeated King's in straight sets last year in Madison, N.J. on Sept. 19.
