WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (September 20, 2018) – Excited to kickoff homecoming weekend, the volleyball team will be facing the Bryn Athyn College Lions after a huge conference win in Manhattanville. The Monarchs (9-3) are ready to defend their home court while Bryn Athyn (4-3) looks to continue their two-game win streak in non-conference play.

Last Time Out: The Monarchs traveled to Purchase, NY in hopes to redeem themselves in conference play after the team fell in a 3-2 loss against FDU-Florham. The team was able to defeat the Manhattanville Valiants 3-2 after an exciting five-set match. Senior

Becca Goldberg led the team in hitting percentage with .276 and freshman
Wiatt Hoffmann recorded her fifth double-double of the season notching 44 assists and 12 digs.
The Book on King's:
- This is the first match up with Bryn Athyn since 2016 where King's swept the Lions at home 3-0.
- The Monarchs have tallied 495 kills so far this season, outscoring the Lions by more than double.
- Leading the team in kills last contest, Rachel Miller ranks first in MAC Freedom with a total of 188 putting her in sixth place nationally.
- Within the conference, Miller sits in the top three of five categories while holding down the No. 1 spot in three of those, kills per set (4.18), points per set (4.61) and total kills.
- The last time the Monarchs played Bryn Athyn, Miller led the team in scoring and put up 14 points as a sophomore.
- Freshman Becca Goldberg clocked in for all five sets for just the second time this season and led the team in hitting percentage (.276) contributing 11 kills while swinging 30 times.
- Wiatt Hoffman tallied 44 assists against the Valiants and sits at fifth in the conference in assists per set.
- First-year libero Taylor Mueller leads the MAC Freedom in aces per set (0.82), service aces (36) and total digs (256).
- Mueller is also third in the nation with her 36 service aces.

- Bryn Athyn comes off a 3-2 win at Penn St.- Abington where they clocked the second-most points of their season so far with 54.
- The Lions sit at second in the Colonial States Athletics Conference (CSAC) under Notre Dame for hitting percentage (.144)
- Briana Cliney also holds the No. 2 hitting percentage in the conference with .366.
- Cliney added eight kills and two solo blocks facing Penn St. Abington.
- Freshman setter Allaina Brock leads the nation and the CSAC in aces per set with 1.20.
- Jenessa Lombardi averages 6.50 assists per set, placing her at third in their conference and contributed 18 assists against the Eagles.
- Hannah Dewees is fourth in the CSAC in points per set (3.50), attacks per set (9.69) and fifth in kills per set (2.94).
- Dewees leads the team in kills with 68, recorded a season-high 15 digs and a team-high of four service aces in their previous game against Penn St.- Abington.
- Maddison Foley also posted a career-best 29 digs in their last victory.
