WILKES-BARRE, Pa (September 27, 2018) – The King's College men's tennis crew will travel to Madison, N.J. this weekend for a match at Drew University's Tennis Complex. The Monarchs will play the host at 10:00 a.m. This will be the first taste of competition for King's College since it participated in the King's Fall Invitational earlier this month after the Homecoming contest was cancelled. King's has not met with Drew University previously.

At the King's Invitational, the team overall had a 4-6 record with a .400 percentage in singles. The four wins were headed by Nick Harth, Owen Hegarty, Tyler Millan and Cameron Tuck. In doubles and double teams, the Monarchs were unable to grab a win and finished 0-3 overall.

This is the first match of the season for the Rangers after finishing last season 82-42 overall in singles (.661) with Will Morrison leading the team 13-7, and 41-26 in doubles (.612) led by sophomore Geoffrey Diehl and junior Vineet Vemulapally.
 
Up Next: The Monarch Men will travel to Williamsport, Pa. to Bruce Henry Park to face Lycoming College on October 7 at 10:00 a.m. then head over to Penn College Tennis Courts to battle the Penn College Warriors the same day at 2:00 p.m.
