WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (September 27, 2018) – King's College volleyball is ready to redeem themselves after a conference loss to Eastern University Wednesday night. The Monarchs now hold an overall record of 10-4 and a 1-2 conference record. Ursinus College (7-9) is looking for a third straight win while Widener University (9-10) pushes to get out of their four-game losing streak.

- The last two tri-matches this season, King's has won all games by three sets.
- King's last met with Ursinus was in 2009 at home when the Monarchs delivered a three-set sweep against the Bears.
- The Monarchs and the Pride haven't had a match together since 1999 and the Monarchs took the match in four sets 3-1.
- At this point in the season, freshman Wiatt Hoffmann holds a program record for assists per set (8.77) in just 52 sets. The previous first place holder was Maddie Kumm (8.00) who held the record 2015-17 but had 296 sets.
- The Monarchs are third in the conference in hitting percentage (.191) and second in digs per set (17.31)
- Rachel Miller sits first place in MAC Freedom for total kills (207) for the second week in a row.
- Mueller is still first for service aces (37) in the conference, assists per set (0.80) and digs per set (5.76).

- The Bears are coming off a 3-2 win in conference play against Dickinson.
- Ursinus currently ranks eighth in the Centennial Conference.
- Jenna Schumann is second in the conference for service aces per set (.66) where King's Hoffmann is at more than five times that number with 8.77 per set.
- Ursinus averages 9.40 kills per set, 8.38 assists per set and 16.36 digs per set.
- Junior Kelly Piotrowicz has 119 kills this season and 428 points, sinking 12 kills and 13 points against Dickinson.
- Piotrowicz recorded her second triple-double of the season against the Devils with 19 assists, 18 digs and 10 kills.
- Bears defensive leader is sophomore Grace Sullivan who averages 3.87 digs per set to add to her 213 this season.
- Paige DeAlba secured her first triple-double this season with 13 assists, 10 kills and 10 digs for Ursinus facing Dickinson.
The Book on Widener:
- Widener last played on the road against Messiah College falling 0-3.
- The Pride have lost the last four games played, all but one ending in 0-3.
- They currently sit at the third spot in MAC Commonwealth ranking overall.
- Widener is No. 1 in the conference for service aces averaging 2.42 per set.
- Shelby Motz leads the team in services aces with 34 this season.
- Senior Nicole Dorman is the Pride's offensive front runner with 175 kills putting her at sixth in the conference.
- With 223 digs, 3.60 per set, Ashley McAfee heads the defense for Widener
- In their blocking game Carly Venit averages .70 blocks per set, tallying four block assists against Messiah putting her total this season at 45.
Up Next:Â King's will return home Tuesday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m. in McGrane Gymnasium to face Delaware Valley University. This will be another MAC Freedom match for the Monarchs.
