WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 4, 2018) – The King's College women's soccer team will look to rebound from a tough double overtime loss on Wednesday night when they host Ramapo College at 6 p.m. in McCarthy Stadium. The Monarchs fell to Penn College 2-1 on Friday night in the season opener.

Last Time Out: King's started the season with a double overtime loss against Penn College 2-1. The Monarchs controlled play for much of the game outshooting the Wildcats 23-7.
Sophia Sacknievich scored King's lone goal late in the first half off a failed clear attempt in the box.
Jess Schenfeld didn't face a shot in goal before being relieved at halftime for freshman
Tara Bender. Bender made four saves in the second half and overtime periods.

- The Monarchs started the season with a loss for the first time since 2012.
- Junior Sophia Sacknievich leads the team with two points on one goal which ties her for third in the MAC Freedom with 2.00 points per game after the opening weekend.
- Sophomore Emma Baumbusch leads the MAC Freedom with seven shots per game while classmate Stephanie Corea is in a three-way tie for second with 4.00 shots per game.
- The Monarchs rank second in the conference with 23 shots and 11 shots on goal per game. The Monarchs 23 shots per game is the most in the MAC Freedom.
- King's has taken a MAC Freedom best 14.00 corner kicks per game and is the only team to not record an offside through the first weekend.
The Book On The Roadrunners (0-2):
- The Roadrunners started the season with a pair of road losses to Mount Saint Mary College and FDU-Florham.
- Senior Jessica Raccioppi scored two goals for Ramapo this weekend and is tied for third in the NJAC with four points and tied for second in goals scored.
- Raccioppi and junior Liliann Vizcaino are tied for seventh in the NJAC with six shots and 3.00 per game through the opening weekend
- Junior goalkeeper Elizabeth Harvell has made 10 saves and is ranked fourth in the NJAC with 5.0 per game.
- This is the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The Monarchs are 1-4 all-time against current members of the NJAC
