Men's Hoops Topped At Eastern Wednesday, 80-70

ST. DAVIDS, PA (January 30, 2019) -- Junior Tyler Millan scored 21 of his career-high 25 points in the second half but it wasn't enough as the King's College men's hoops team dropped a 80-70 decision to Eastern University in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) action from The Gymnasium at St. Davids.

Millan went 8-of-14 on field goal attempt on the night, eclipsing his previous career-high of 22 points set on Saturday against DeSales University. The junior nailed five of his 10 three-point attempts, and also added six rebounds for the third consecutive game.

The first half was back-and-forth the entire time, as King's led 31-30 with 2:10 to go after a Noah Tanner lay-up following a theft from JJ Glinsky. Two possessions later, Austin Duncan connected on a three-point attempt to put Eastern up 33-31, and would lead 35-33 heading into the locker room for halftime.

During the second half, Eastern would build its lead up to as much as 14 points in holding the edge the entire 20 minutes. Junior Andrew Hudak was 7-of-17 from the field for 14 points, posting nine rebounds, and Noah Tanner added 10 points and a team-high seven assists.

Eastern was led by the 19 points and 11 rebounds from William Blet, as Michael Bowlers also posted a double-double of 11 points and 14 boards. Darius Washington added 15 points, and Draig Ruff and Marquise Peel totaled 10 and 12 points, respectively. EU shot 50.0 percent (30-60) from the floor, while making 38.1 percent from deep.

King's returns to the floor Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. at FDU-Florham, taking on the Devils in MAC Freedom play.
