King's Men's Rugby Dominates At Susquehanna

Wilkes-Barre, PA (September 23, 2019) -- The King's College men's rugby team took a trip to Susquehanna for their first tournament on Sunday, September 22.  The Monarchs went undefeated in group play, punishing each team they went against. 
 
Against Susquehanna College, the monarchs started their first game off with a "BANG"! Both Nicholas Ianotta and Jahdir white scored their first try of the season setting the tone for King's, as Ian Prator and Nicholas Maffeton both showed dominating defense on the field King's scored back-to-back tries in the second half of play, giving them the win over Susquehanna. 
    
King's kept up their outstanding play on both sides of the ball against Swarthmore college. Anthony Harmon led the way, scoring two tries in each half and showing impeccable defense, Nicholas Maffeton scored a try while also giving Jahdir White two assist tries, Going towards the end Skyler smith contributed with a try. King's was able to hold Swarthmore with no points ending the game.
 
Jahdir White continues with his outstanding play taking a kick return back for a try which brought King's back into the game, King's scored two more tries from Anthony Harmon and Kenneth Navarro. Nick Ianotta also scored a try from a pop adding to the score, while Ian Prator and Noah Cusatis play unbelievable defense holding Susquehanna maroon from any tries for the win.  
 
The Monarchs fight to win in the final against Susquehanna white, King's players Joey Ferrone, Anthony Harmon-Miller and Ian Prator take over on defense. As kings go on offense, a pass to Nick Ianotta for a try puts King's back in action, soon after, in the Second half Jahdir white scored a game saving try as King.s end the game off with phenomenal defense for the win.
