WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 9, 2019) -- The King's College women's swim team continued the momentum from last night's win over Lebanon Valley to cruise to a dominating 146-43 victory over Stevenson this afternoon. The team improved to 4-1 for the season as they won their second straight.
The Monarchs jumped to an early 15-0 start in the 400 medley relay as the team of Elizabeth Savidge,
Rachel Woomer,
Kaelyn Gardner, and
Alexis Majka placed first with a time of 4:19.83, and the team of
Noelle Pedersen,
Amina Zaidi,
Sarah Fleisher, and
Claire Coe finished second with a time of 4:32.38. King's then took the top three spots in the 200 freestyle, 50 freestyle, 200 IM, 100 freestyle, and 200 backstroke to build their commanding lead before capping off the meet with a victory in the 200 freestyle relay.
Madison Modugno had a solid outing today as she placed third with a time of 2:12.50 in the 200 freestyle and first with a time of 59.10 in the 100 freestyle. Also swimming well on the afternon was
Abbi Strennen as she finished second in the 200 freestyle, swimming a 2:09.94, and in the 100 butterfly, swmming a 1:10.11, as well as leading the 200 freestyle relay to a first place finish.
The Monarchs are off for the week before traveling to Arcadia University on Saturday, November 16 with a 1:00 p.m. start time.
