Last Time Out: Junior Tyler Millan scored 21 of his career-high 25 points in the second half but it wasn't enough as the King's College men's hoops team dropped an 80-70 decision to Eastern University in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) action from The Gymnasium at St. Davids.

Millan went 8-of-14 on field goal attempt on the night, eclipsing his previous career-high of 22 points set on Saturday against DeSales University. The junior nailed five of his 10 three-point attempts, and added six rebounds for the third consecutive game.

The first half was back-and-forth the entire time, as King's led 31-30 with 2:10 to go after a Noah Tanner lay-up following a theft from JJ Glinsky. Two possessions later, Austin Duncan connected on a three-point attempt to put Eastern up 33-31, and would lead 35-33 heading into the locker room for halftime.

During the second half, Eastern would build its lead up to as much as 14 points in holding the edge the entire 20 minutes. Junior Andrew Hudak was 7-of-17 from the field for 14 points, posting nine rebounds, and Noah Tanner added 10 points and a team-high seven assists.

A Look At The Monarchs (4-16, 2-7 MAC Freedom):
  • King's will be looking for its first road win of the season on Saturday, as the Monarchs come into the game 0-8 on the road this year. King's last victory away from McGrane was just over a year ago, defeating Delaware Valley January 31, 2018 80-70.
  • Junior Tyler Millan has been on fire of late for the Monarchs, averaging 23.5 points per game over his last two. He's upped his career-high in each of the last two games, and has raised his season average up to 9.1 points per game.
  • Sophomore Noah Tanner has poured in double-figures in each of his last seven games, also posting six or more assists in three of those contests. Tanner leads King's in scoring with 10.8 points a night.
  • Freshman Jake Pawliczak is extremely efficient around the rim, as he has made 50 percent or better in 10 of his last 11 games. He leads the MAC Freedom in shooting percentage at 56.8 percent on the season.
  • Junior Andrew Hudak is currently second in the MAC Freedom in rebounding this season, posting 8.9 rebounds nightly. His 3.3 offensive boards a game is the best rate in the league as well.
  • Tanner ranked fifth in the conference in assists with 63 this season, while his assist to turnover ratio of 1.4 is eighth-best in the league. Tanner is also fourth in the MAC Freedom in steals with 37 this year.

  • Junior Joe Lonardi has come off the bench in 16 of the 20 games this season, and has posted eight or more points in nine times including a career-high 18 points against Wilkes.
  • King's has four players who have played in all 20 games, as Tanner, Pawliczak, Lonardi and Josh Bailey have all drawn in for the full compliment of contests.
A Look At The Devils (4-16, 1-8 MAC Freedom):
  • The Devils are looking to snap an eight-game losing streak this weekend, falling Wednesday at DeSales University 77-72. Despite that, FDU has kept things close lately, with five of their last six defeats coming by 12 or less points.
  • FDU does boast a solid scoring defense, ranking second in the conference with 73.6 points per game allowed. The Devils 67.2 points per game offensively ranks at the bottom of the MAC Freedom.
  • The 170 made three-pointers for the Devils this season is third in the league, behind just Manhattanville and DeSales. On average, FDU is hitting 8.5 three-pointers per game.
  • FDU-Florham doesn't get to the line much at all, taking just 275 free throws all season. For comparison, five MAC Freedom schools have made more than that this year.
  • The Devils are averaging just 29.8 rebounds a game, the lowest number in the conference thus far this season. The rebounding margin of -9.4 is the ninth-lowest in the country.
  • FDU-Florham doesn't block many shots also, ranking fourth-lowest in NCAA hoops with just 1.3 rejections a game as a squad.
  • Anthony Mitchell leads the way offensively with 12.4 points per game, ranking seventh in the league in made free throws with 63.
  • Darren Davy also posts 11.1 points per game, ranking in the top 15 in the conference in made field goals this year with 94. Davy's 4.6 boards per game is a team-high.
  • Andy Fleurantin is scoring 10.8 points per game, while making 42 three-pointers this season. The 42 makes from deep ranks seventh in the MAC Freedom. He is fifth in percentage with a 37.8 clip from deep.
Against FDU-Florham All-Time: King's and FDU-Florham have played each other a total of 97 times coming into the game this weekend, with King's holding a 64-33 all-time advantage. The squads split the season series last year, and FDU-Florham has won three of the last four after King's had won four straight. The first meeting between the two teams came all the way back in 1950, a 91-60 win for the Monarchs. Earlier this year, James Willis went off 26 points in an 81-71 win for the Monarchs January 12.
