WILKES-BARRE, PA (February 10, 2019) – The Monarchs wrestled the Wilkes University Colonels dropping 43-9 in a conference bout.
Dakota Quick and
Nick Palazzolo earned the two victories for King's College. King's also honored
Matt Sparks,
Nick Price,
Tony Immediato and
James Wright for senior day highlighting the hard work and dedication they brought to the team.

Quick swept the match at 125 with a 5-0 decision versus Kyle Trout. The two matched in skill and size spending the majority of the match on their feet but the junior hit a near fall essential to his win. This pushes his stats to a 25-11 season record and 118 team points putting him at number one on the team in both.

Freshmen Palazzolo hit his second pin of the season and third win overall with his pin at 1:40 against Cole Walters at 165. This advances his team points to 15 and fifth in the team rankings for that category.

It was a tough dual for our seniors with Immediato (141), Sparks (149) and Price (174) all getting caught in a pin while
Kade Kravits and
J.J. Hooper fell in a MD 11-0 and 7-1 decision respectively in their weight classes.

The Monarchs are back in action on the road for the Cross-County Challenge February 15 and 16 where they will battle Keystone College that Friday at 7:00 p.m. in La Plume, PA followed by University of Scranton the on the 16
th at 12:00 p.m. at Marts Center.
