The Monarchs responded the next inning as Shane Beyer led off with a single to short. After advancing to second on a one-out groundout, Pack knocked him in with a big two-out hit to left field as Beyer was able to just beat the throw home.

Manhattanville put runners on first and second with one out in the seventh inning before Hathaway Roper knocked and double to center field to tie the score. Stephen Merrill then singled to right to score Johnny Mariano with the game-winning run.

KC had a 14-10 hit advantage in the game led by a 4-for-4 day from Pack. Hartson added three hits while McKee had two. The Monarchs struggled to knock runners in as they left 11 on base.
