Monarch Men's Tennis Match Notes - Delaware Valley University

WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 12, 2019) – King's College tennis is back on the road for two straight weeks as they first head to Delaware Valley University to take on the Aggies for their third Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom match in a row.

Last Time Out: King's College men's tennis ended their two-match streak after falling 7-2 in a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom match against DeSales University. The men move to 7-8 and 1-2 in conference bouts.
 
Junior Tyler Millan battled Danny Lynn in the featured No. 1 singles match where Millan came out on top after a three-set super tiebreaker. Millan competed in No. 1 doubles with freshman Nick Harth as his usual partner and No. 2 competitor, Austin Mackey, is out for injury and is questionable to return for the rest of the season.  
 
Millan and Harth tallied the second win for King's in doubles going 8-3 in Harth's first match in the number one doubles bracket.
 
The Book on The Monarchs (7-8, 1-2 MAC Freedom):
  • King's men move to sixth in the MAC Freedom after this week and have a .500-win percentage.
  • The Monarchs are 3-2 in away matches this season.
  • Millan is ranked fifth in overall singles with a 9-3 record and first in No. 1 singles with a 6-1 record in the MAC Freedom.
  • Mackey is second in No. 2 singles but remains questionable to return due to injury.
  • Nick Holland is 3-2 in No. 6 singles ranking him fourth among the Freedom.
  • Mackey and Millan are still at first for No. 1 doubles and Harth and Cameron Tuck are second for No. 2 doubles.
The Book on Aggies (2-7, 1-2 MAC Freedom):
  • The Aggies are seventh in the MAC Freedom standings after dropping to DeSales University 8-1 and Eastern University 8-1
  • Del Val looks for their first conference win since Misericordia University in March where they notched an 8-1 victory. They are 2-3 in home match-ups.
  • Evan Augsburger is listed as first among all singles as wel las No. 6 singles for going 4-0.
  • Nick Gaeatano is fifth in No. 3 singles splitting 3-3 in his matches.
  • Nicolas Princetta is Del Val's top contender for No. 4 singles as he is fifth in the conference and posts a 3-3 record as well.
Up Next: King's will remain on the road going over to Misericordia University in Dallas, Pa. April 17 for their fourth conference bout in a row. Play will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
